I was there a couple of weeks ago, didn't see a thing, there was a weed kill a week or so before I was there and the water was very dirty. I also ran into Chris and we talked for awhile, he told me about the weed kill and said the musky action had been "0" since it had been done.

The reel is the key in throwing double 10s & 12s, like Will said, a reel with a large spool and low ratio like 4.3-1 is perfect. But even with the right reel, running any bucktail, let alone the dlb 10s, can wear you out in a hurry if your holding the rod off to the side at any angle at all.

BTW- The Michigan Musky Hunters Club, is not defunct, it is ALIVE and well, although it is a small club of about 25 members, it still exsists with outings and meetings, if you would like more club information you can contact.

I was there 2wks ago and it was TOUGH!!!, I usually do pretty good there so I was suprised at the lack of action, I also knew 5 other boats out there that day and only 2 fish were boated, a 34" & 34 1/2".
