Rich
When the water clears up (which I assume it hasn't quite yet) you can see down to the bottom at 6-7 when it is sunny. It generally is no where near as turbid as hudson or ovid, but when it rains it gets muddy.

Trolling around the middle of st. clair in a 16 foot boat with four foot waves. Wasn't horrible weather, it was actually nice out, but it was scary as hell. It wasn't my idea by the way.

I picked the net right away option. But this isn't always the best option, depending on who is doing the netting. Like my brother or some other inexperienced net person always trys to do the swoop em in like he's catching butterflies in a field. When this is done, the muskie will imediately go on an ...

I just want to coment on Lac View Desert: For some reason they do have an unusually high number of tiger muskie in there. I have only fish this lake one solid day, and I boated two tigers (small). On the board at the campground I stayed at there were some pictures of some giants.
On another note, I ...

when you say its taking on water, do they nose dive as soon as you put them in the water? If thats the case, I have purchased way to many that have taken on water (I sold them all now) But if all you do is fill em with foam, I guess thats a fairly easy fix. I'll try that next time.

I just talked to a guy that is brand new to muskie fishing out at ovid the other day. He said he is hooked because Bob Brunner took him out (or rather he took Bob out) and he put them on fish and they had a great time. And thats not the only time Iv'e heard that, so take it for what its worth.

my opinion of peavy, is it's a beatiful looking body of water. However, don't expect to go up there and tear em up, because it is a relitively low density population. But the way I look at it is, who cares and enjoy the scenery, and maybe catch a nice size fish. Another plus though about that lake ...

I would have to say ovid would be your best bet untill the water temps get too high (which will be soon most likely) You can have days out there where you get 30 follows, and then you can go out there several days in a row, and not see hardly a thing. I would say prime time on ovid has allready ...

Kids and muskie fishing

Hello all, I just was thinking lately how to get my daughter into muskie fishing. She is almost 6, and even taking her bluegill or perch fishing is quite a chore. I took her up to the cuts last week and it was only about 55 degrees out, and within 5 minutes she was allready too cold. If its not that ...

I am afraid too modify anything unless some article in musky hunter shows me specifically what to do. Screwing something up would just throw me in to a rage.
