Re: Important Bruce Memorial Info
Brad Moskal caught a fish... I only got to fish a couple hours in the afternoon, one solid rip, but didnt stay pinned. Sounds like the story of the day for most i chatted with. Enjoyed chatting at lunch with many that were there.

Re: Muskegon and Mona Lakes
I haven't had any luck on Muskegon, but haven't given much effort yet. The couple times I have been there the bait has been absolutely scattered, which makes for a difficult time maintaining confidence. Hopefully a couple people on here that fish it more often can chime in?!? Incidental catches on M...

Re: Phantom softtail vs squirrelly Hellhound
Not sure if my thinking or logic are correct, but it works in my feeble mind... I like hellhounds because you can get a really wide glide, the tail on them slows that down, and reduces that advantage. If that is what the particular situation calls for they are my go to. I like phantom softails becau...

Re: Motorized boating banned until May 1
Interesting take here, but just a few short years ago this order would have only affected the majority of this group for a few days at the end of the month and wouldnt have put an ounce if impact in lake st clair fishing or UP seasons. Just a reminder that tho it stings to be told you can't do somet...

Re: Reels for big blades
I've used the Okuma, Daiwa lexa and all the shimanos for blades, and agree with Matt. Tranx 400 is a great all around reel. I am not an enormous fan of the power handle on the high gear, and have replaced the plastic/metal knob with a rubber oval-ish knob from a curado 300 ej, and it works well. But...

Re: Can we go fishing?
Here is the post from the DNR... We've received some questions concerning the activity of fishing following the recent "stay home, stay safe" order from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. The order given today stated that individuals may still engage in outdoor activities while following proper social distance ...

Re: New Muskie Fisherman / Fall Trolling
Like with casting, fish often like change of direction. Baits like streetwalkers do a lot of that on their own... others need help, by constantly controling the boat, s patterns and speed changes, etc. Figuring out if they are in weeds or open water is the hardest part for me sometimes, and usually ...

Not sure the top one, but double digits on a holo perch 10" suick, and a firetiger super shad rap... each on at least 3 different lakes too!
