Re: New sonar/gps suggestions
Side imaging is especially good for open water fishing when looking for suspended baitfish and muskies. It can also be really good for mapping structure/cover without actually driving back and forth over the structure/cover. You can simply drive alongside the structure/cover, map it with the side-im...

Doesn't help the article has the incorrect dates for the season - "(April 1 through March 31)" And a new license should just be $3, but printing a new musky tag definitely could be a loop hole for people wanting to keep more than one musky. I believe there isn't a record of who gets the musky tag an...

It might take you a little to get it down, but it is pretty easy after getting the hang of it. I use a small round nose pliers to make my bend and then basically follow this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OLEtW18HAI I don't do as many twists/wraps as he does, but you definitely can if you w...

I've used the Revo Toro reels for a couple years now and love them. The new Revo NaCl is pretty good as well, but I definitely would look into getting the Lexa 300 or the new 400 size. Fished the 300 a couple times this fall and absolutely loved them and their design seems to fit a human hand a lot ...

What size dawgs are you planning on throwing? I love the 'Big Dawg' rod from St. Croix for mag-dawgs and pounders, but it is a little pricey. The 9'3" Okuma EVX rod is a great rod for mag-dawgs and can be used for pounders.MuskyHunter1 wrote:Looking to buy a new rod for bull dawgs anyone have any recommendations?

Just keep at it. Three times out without catching one isn't that long actually; that's just muskie fishing. What kind of rod and reel are you using? I would suggest upgrading to 80-100lb superline and then at least 124lb wire or 150lb fluoro. For dawgs and other plastics/jerkbaits I would use wire l...
