I couldn't agree more with the lower antrim chain, and the Indian river system, obviously only if they know they are not going to have a negative genetic impact. As for a third one to create, I would find it hard to argue with spring lake or muskegon lake... but if your doing the muskegon river, why...

It appears that the lakemaster for lowrance has been discontinued. I did like that one better for certain uses, but as far as LSC and the other HD lakes goes there isn't much difference. The random old maps that were not HD were quite different, and it is hit ormiss which chip is better. The nav pla...

I had one hit a bucktail at boatside, right when I was starting the turn. It was not a follow as much as I had the boat over the weed edge and it screamed from the bottom in about 12' swiped, hit the blades not the tail and went directly back down. It wasn't a large fish, maybe around 30" or so, but...

Sounds like it will effect quite a few campers in the Tahquamenon area. Both areas affected are in areas I was planning on visiting...

like i said the good thing about mikes is that they have every schematic known to man... the bad thing is, if they don't have the part its forever and a day till you get one. But for finding the part number its easy... then its finding someone that will send it to you without fixing the reel themsel...

I have sent my reels to sportsman's repair shop, who advertises a bit in some of the magazines. http://www.sportsmansrepair.com/ I saw someone mention them here before, and they seem to have done a great job. Anyhow, they only deal with musky stuff, and can get any part known to man. Giving him a ca...

With Pike being able to almost proliferate like they do in certain lakes yet struggle in others it really should be somewhat micromanaged to be done properly. That being said I kind of only considered two points when taking the survey. knowing that micromanagement is never going to happen, you have ...

I don't mind the slot limit too much. I have read articles on both sides saying it works and that it hasn't done anything at all. My only problem is getting people to actually keep small pike. For guys that eat them the smaller ones are too bony, and the huge ones are old and probably not that great...

I have a 9' 3/4-4 oz rod that I throw all my smaller stuff with, Its an american tackle viper blank, made by lamiglas. If I were a fly I guy I'd call it a sweetheart for sure. I put a Curado 300 EJ on it last season and love it even more, but I can use if for pretty much anything, and even took it o...

I just read an article about fishing new waters, one comment on how to find fish was to follow the local walleye guys! couple that with the survey done in northern wisconsin, walleye being 0.9% of total number of fish stomachs surveys, and 3.4% by volume... I'd say they certainly live in similar are...

I talked to two guys that work with my dad (yeah I know long story) who ice fish out there a couple times a week. They claim to have caught two that were legal last winter, and they kept them, and they were full of crappies... So, I asked for pics to make sure, and since there were specs in their be...
