Great topic here...wish I had more time right now to digest and discuss. Stupid work. I’ve spent loads of time on the phone with biologists from WI, MN, KY, IA, IN and IL discussing this stuff over the past 5 years…and I probably came out with more questions than I went in with. The trouble is their...

Titabawassee lakes
Yeah I know of 2 guys that have spent a good chunk of time on Secord. They have some fish to show for it, but their numbers are still too slim to get me up there (like 1 sighting for every 6-8 trips, better in the spring). On a sidenote they have nailed many 30"+, fat pike. Things will get better th...

Midland musky issues
Ron's correct Bryan, the DNR has been noted about the harvest of those undersize fish. Still, it would be great if you would join the fight and keep the officers abreast of what's going on out there. Ron B., Greg M., Scott S. and myself are pretty diligent about reporting all the verified incidents....

hmmm...
Wow, so this is what happens when 2 stubborn type-A's disagree? Very entertaining! I'll have to make time to get on the site more often if this keeps up. I think I know Will and Scott well enough to say that I think both are in the same boat (though I'm guessing that, literally speaking, isn't going...

pere marquette esocids?
My good buddy here at work, while fishing for salmon on pere marquette, has caught 2 little muskies there in his last 3 trips. A pearl J-plug seems to be the ticket...and he's got some upper 30" pike too. I'd bet PM gets some monster spawners in the spring, eh?
