and if only we could decide what lakes get how many... oh how sweet that would be. It just hurts to see such precious fish sometimes squandered

My records indicate that it was 2003 when Indiana offered their excess fall fish, and the DNR allocated them as such:

Ross Lake - 1453
Lake Diane - 372
Secord Lake - 2558

And I have to thank Ron for teaching me how to actually LAND a muskie, or at least showing me because I didn't get it apparently... I have set all kinds of personal records for LOST fish this year. :? Anyway, without just spoutin' sunshine & b.s., I have to say Ron is about the best fishermen I've s...

Apparently I have to quit standing on my head while reeling that &#%$* Bullhead in eh??

Shouldn't have tipped your hand though- my Lure Swap asking price for the Bullhead just went way up! An acceptable trade just upgraded from a paintless Gapen's lure to a Sloppee Pig!!

Ditto- if you are going to fish anything more than 1-2 times per month then go ahead and make your own. VERY easy, and as said, cheap to do. You can keep re-using your swivels for many different leaders you tie too. For the most part, using a heavy leader is not going make a noticeable difference in...

Best NEW lure for the year I think was my Squirrelly Ernie- like that little dude a lot, and will be getting the full size version too. Worst new lure for the year is no contest, a real laugher- the Real Fish Bullhead. Reeling at anything more than stupid-slow, or any kind of light pull, produces a ...

Man does this group of guys get me chuckling- hopefully my co-workers just think I'm watching the video of that dog riding a skateboard for the 1,000th time instead of surfing. "Those weeds smell like muskies...","quick strike a half pound burrito from Taco Bell". \ And BM is such an easy target, we...

First rule in muskie fishing: don't believe a thing that Mehsikomer says. I don't know anything specific about the physiology mentioned there, there could be something to it for all I know, what the heck??? But I doubt it, and the logic works like this: If it sounds stupid, Mehsikomer probably said ...

Haven't done too many weird things, mostly just standard weighting practices that make lures do one or more of the following: run deeper, suspend, walk the dog, or create more belly roll/flash. Or typical adding soft plastic tails to different jerks and cranks; quiet some rattles by glueing in place...

The Chain's got it all- clear water with low numbers, stained water with decent numbers; deep water, open water roamers, slop bays and shallow weed flats, wood, rocks... Great place to spend a week because there is so much water and variety. You might not be boating double figures for the week but p...

I picked up a Record before season just because I had some gift cards to spend, and it was pretty. I haven't had any problems with mine, it has been my primary set up this year. In short, it has been everything I expect from all my other C series Abu reels, but a little smoother. But, that's weird, ...
