Looks good so far, I'm curious to see how it comes out.

It took long enough but the things finally worked out and I was able to buy a GPS for the boat. I got an Eagle FishElite 480 on eBay for under $300. Not the fanciest unit but it's better than guessing my way back to Selfridge like I did last year. Can't wait for April 30!

I was looking to get some opinions on low pro reels for all purpose use. It looks like the Abu Revo Toro and Shimano Curado are the only choices(as far as I've been able to find) so what are some pros and cons of both?

It's a sickening thing that gas prices go up every time someone in the middle east farts. Gas is going up because they want it to and unfortunately there's nothing we can do about it. It just means fewer trips and closer trips when I can go which sucks because I only catch 1 muskie a year as it is :...

Question, why isn't Sanford on the list of lakes where spearing is illegal? I was under the impression that stocked lakes weren't open to spearing.

This pisses me off. His dam, his responsibilty to fix it. He makes money from that dam so I really don't think it'd be worth it to him to not fix it. Whenever the lake gets back to normal levels those muskies should be good and dumb.

43 on Sanford and a 30" Pike on Chicagon Lake

That really sucks. I was looking forward to hitting Sanford once hunting season is over. After 4 months of no pressure thise muskies will probably be pretty dumb to lures.

Anyone checked the level lately? Is the work finished on the dam? I'd like to get up that way before the lake freezes.
