HAHAHAHA... you guys are funny. There isn't a lure that won't work at night surface, cranks, jerks, rubber, bucktails, jigs, etc. it all works. That said, a surface strike at night is about as cool as it gets! As far as speed goes, sometimes more is better and sometimes less is more. Topwater sucks...

Hawg Wobbler The only way you can work them is Real S L O W!!!!! Heard great things about them, and have one myself. Never any luck on one tho. I don't use it that much because of that reason - it's painful to work it so slow. The only time it really sees any water time is when I'm heading back to ...

I am thinking about heading out there. Any pointers? Jim tenHaaf and I will be there. Look for us in my gray 16' Tracker and I'll be wearing my orange hat. I'm not the one to ask for pointers, though! [smilie=brickwall.gif] We'll be sure to share information if we find a pattern. If we can't...

Re: .

MINER LAKE IN ALLEGAN PINE LAKE IN BARRY COUNTY I'll second the pine lake. Never fished there (except from shore while working on the lake), but have many friends who fish/live on the lake. For some reason, the numbers have come down a little, but still good fishery. If you are going down as far as...

Well, I've used it before, but I think it's needed again in this situation.

Re: 8 foot musky rod

I have an induron right now, and it is OK too, but not what I thought it would be based on all the hype on Muskie First. Dollar for dollar, I think the Induron is a great reel. My main reel is the Calcutta 400b. Smooth as silk. Costs double what the Induron is, but no complaints so far. I've only u...

But Ed, why stop at 9'? Go big or go home. Go for the 10 footer! HAHA!! I bet you can get some rediculously HUGE figure 8's with that thing! I guess I'll see for myself tomorrow! On a more serious note, my brother and I both have Gander Mountain Tounament Musky Extreme rods. As Ed said, watch those ...

Jim, if I am hijacking your thread I apologize and I can post this seperately. Nope! Still sounds like we're talking about unhooking! [smilie=biggrin.gif] I know the theory that if you apply the proper pressure and technique that you will not lose any fish with barbless hooks but is this true? The ...
