TAX TIME!!!
Hey, all.. I don't know how you all do your taxes, but I used to go to H&R Block. To E-File state and federal cost me $219. Not bashing H&R (in case any of you work there) but this year, I did my taxes myself with Turbo Tax. I went to TurboTax.com and followed all their instructions. I'm a dummy! an...

Hey, Ed. I've got one very similar to that. It's cheaper brother, actually. It's a great reel for zipping smaller bucks through the water, and brings in fish ok too. I brought in my 48.5"er last year on that reel while pulling a Mepps Killer. It's a love\hate relationship with that reel, though, esp...

You can get by with an all in one bucktail reel/rod by using something like the following w/ a power handle. - Pflueger Trion Round 66 - Okuma Induron 400 - Calcutta 400 If you want a Calcutta 400, look here. Better be quick, though. Stuff moves fast on this site. http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/bo...

I also really like a high speed reel for jerkbait and some crankbait retreives because taking up slack with 6:1 is so easy compared to 5:1. A couple of years ago, I was fishing with a 6:1. I LOVED it for cranking in smaller bucktails. It was a low profile baitcaster. Turning double 10's was kind of...

Lb. Test for smaller baits
What lb. test do you all use for smaller baits? I was having difficulty throwing 6" grandmas and single-hook bucktails. I had an Induron 250 with 65lb., then went to a Calcutta 400B with 80lb. The Calcutta actually threw the smaller stuff better. But early last year in the spring, I started with 35l...

There are a few pics of the outing in the Figure 8 (MMA newsletter).
