You can even rent a rowboat at the lower falls to fish the good-sized pool there, always some nice sized fish hanging out in there. Fishing the upper falls from shore requires a slightly adventurous climb down and back up, but is fun and always some fish there too.

Kingston is connected to a relatively small & thin regional groundwater aquifer that is comprised of coarse sand - this makes its level fluctuate more in response to recent precipitation & evaporation than more typical aquifers do.
