Might stop some. If more got caught and got fined, others will think twice. Pushing a fish down the hole doesn't make it invisible. Cheap underwater cams could be used to look for undersized fish that were discarded. I'm not claiming it's the answer to everything, but without effective enforcement,...

Fishead - I understand your frustration but name calling and making assumptions about their intentions does NOTHING for our cause. In fact, it only adds to the already expanding divide between what they want and what we know is best for the fishery. i agree but sometimes you just need a place to go...

300 curado's are nice too, but a bit more. there are a few good 7' and 7 1/2' rods out there that don't weight too much. And like was said before the heavier bass stuff isn't too under powered, a lot of the crankin rods would be good for throwing smaller spinners like single 8's and whatnot, but you...

Doesn't help the article has the incorrect dates for the season - "(April 1 through March 31)" And a new license should just be $3, but printing a new musky tag definitely could be a loop hole for people wanting to keep more than one musky. I believe there isn't a record of who gets the musky tag a...

Here's another problem- a friend lost his fishing license and musky tag. Went to license dealer and they told him he cannot have his license reprinted, even for a reduced fee. He will have to purchase a new license for full cost. BUT- they said they can just print him another, duplicate musky tag. ...

The report from the Chicagon habitat project was it was a good success! About 20 volunteers showed up in -25 F to start off. They made and placed 23 "tic tac toe" shaped structures measuring 24' x 24' which are weighed down with small rocks and cobble which fill the squares and are held in welded w...

With a couple new lakes on the western lake shore, I figured I'd help inform what is going on around these lakes, and maybe start some dialogue about how MMA can get involved in the future with these fisheries. With the right habitat I feel these new lakes can thrive, and will have nearly enough nat...

I've got three 9', one has rods in it and one is plastic and too nice to give away but I do have a cardboard one for you. JP - I'll give you the beer. Its all good Will, I probably owe you a couple anyhow. And, as it turns out mine are from the 8'6" blanks I ordered this year, so probably wouldn't ...
