I've never seen anyone say anything about this, but I put a glow bead on my line above the leader. In the dark when you can't see to well you don't jam the leader into eye tip.

That's a good idea.

You can also nail-knot a small length of braid onto your line about 3 feet above the leader; you can feel it when it hits your tip guide even with your eyes closed, and slow just in time to keep your swivel from jamming into the rod tip.

I bought some glow beads from Thorne at the Muskie show last year, they are rubber and work great for night fishing.

Rollie & Helens has two kinds. A soft one you just put on your line and the regular ones, plastic. I use the one about a 1/4" in diameter or a little bigger. I'm going to order some of the soft ones and try them, I'll let you know.

That is a good idea. I also really like the nail knot idea for when the water is murky.
