I see the PIT tagging on Diane and not Big Bear in otsego county... I suppose this is confirmation that Big Bear is off the brood list and Diane is on?

Also added to this list, whether it should be or no, is Mona lake's 30k @ 1.38" and White Lake's 50k @ 1.3". WHo knows if/or how many of those are still living.

WOW! I didn't have any problems seeing this, me the computer geek!! What was the average size?
Re: Muskellunge stocking 2015
Info with a little more detail is on the DNR website stocking database. Average size going into various lakes runs from 8.54" to 11.5". Overall average of the fall stocking seems to be right at 9". Looks like they sorted out some bigger ones for Long and Bankston to get the 11.5".Steve S wrote:WOW! I didn't have any problems seeing this, me the computer geek!! What was the average size?

I believe the larger average size is due to the fact these were Northern Strain from the Wisconsin trade not reared in Michigan.FIP wrote:Info with a little more detail is on the DNR website stocking database. Once the GLS broodstock lakes get rolling along we should see a good spike in stocked fingerling size since they will get an extra month in the ponds.

Re: Muskellunge stocking 2015
Just thought I'd share an excel spreadsheet that I have put together if any of you are interested. It contains all of the muskie stocking data from 1979 to today. I made a table so that one can easily navigate and see how many fish were stocked and the average size of fish in a given lake in a given year. I will attach it to this post, there is a cell in the upper left corner of the "LakeNumbers" Sheet that is labeled County. You can use that cell to select the county in which you want to view the data for, or you can select view all. Let me know if you would like me to add different data or present the data in a different way. Thought it would be interesting to see how often lakes have been stocked. The data was obtained through the Michigan DNR's fish stocking database.
