St. Claire charters

Post by SpenserB »

I was looking for some recomendations on a charter on Lake St. Claire, Preferably one that does not troll and is good for new muskie fisherman.

Just looking to catch a nice muskie and learn how to do it! Thanks for any info.

Musky Charters

the only casters I know of are Bob Devine and Jon Bondy. I dont know Bondy but recomend Bob Devine. He is a great guy and excellent fisherman. http://www.chartertalk.com . He fishes out of a nice Ranger boat very good baits and tackle, rods and such. He has a page in my pro staff section at our web site as well. Mike and Michelle

As Mike mentioned Bob DeVine , he's in Windsor. Bob is a great person and very good angler.

On the Michigan side up on Anchor Bay:
Steve Kunnath http://www.lakestclairmusky.com/. I don't know Steve but I've seen him fishing some of the same areas I fish on the north end of the lake.

Bob Brunner http://michiganmuskiebob.com
Bob will tell you he is the best muskie fisherman on the lake and he's been fishing St Clair since it was nothing more than a trickle from a glacier.l

I just talked to a guy that is brand new to muskie fishing out at ovid the other day. He said he is hooked because Bob Brunner took him out (or rather he took Bob out) and he put them on fish and they had a great time. And thats not the only time Iv'e heard that, so take it for what its worth.

I have a trip setup for July 28th, and 29th with Capt. Steve Kunnath. I will make sure to pass along how things went!

We fished with Steve Kunnath last weekend, and he is a great guy!!!
He knows the water well, and put us on fish the whole time we were there! Steve is a youg guy (30), who is just starting to grow his business. Why I say that is he does not have the biggest of boat's, so beware of taking the kids. The water can get pretty nasty as most of you know. Little folks might not love the eleven hour roller coster ride. But for the grown up's, give him a try! You will have at least the chance to catch the fish of a life time! :D
