Lake Hudson Muskie

Anybody out there fished lake Hudson this Year? If so how have you done? I have been out 6 times and have boated 4 fish. I have had the most follows that I have ever seen at Hudson, I just can't get them to bite. The last two times out I have caught two and saw 11. The fish are out there, I just got to get them to bite. A lot of them were nice fish too. Last year I felt lucky if i saw 2 out there. So anybody have any luck?

Been on Hudson 3 times this year (trying to get father-in-law his first musky). He's got one hit but no catches.

I had a really nice one follow but couldn't get her to hit (2 weeks ago). If she wasn't 40, she was awful close. Made my heart go pitter-patter! LOL!! I was slow trolling with the electric motor and casting a buzzbait at the same time. She came to the boat and followed forever! I tried rip'n it several times & taking it down deeper. She stayed right with it but wouldn't take it. By the time I thought to just let it splash back into her face, it was too late. She had already sunk down outta sight. I stopped trolling and threw several different lures, but got no response.

I'm gonna try Hudson again tomorrow (Saturday the 21st). It's the closest musky lake for me. Gonna have dad-in-law with me again. We'll see if we can get on to the boat for him.

2 of the last 3 fish on Hudson hit on figure 8's after they followed to the boat, and then sank out of sight in the opaque water. With my rod tip down 18" in the water I could not see them hit, but they did! Last week I caught a musky up north after about 15 figure 8's in a row. I couldn't believe it, but this was in clear water and I'd figure 8 2-3 times and the fish was still there. I just kept figure 8's going until it hit.

I been on Hudson the last 3 days May 26,27 28, got one fish 38" Fished 5 feet 10 feet 15 feet. crank baits, bucktails and can't figure out where they are hiding! I need help! Wind has been no help!
