Tracker Boats - Good Decision?

Have priced Crestliner, Lund, Lowe, Procraft. Tracker has the most features for money.Tracker ProGuide 17 Sc, Mercury 60 hp 4 stroke. Any feedback would be be greatly appreciated! Maybe my last boat.

hi there
i got a Crestliner 1750 fishawk from Jan's with lots of goodies
and a 115 Merc 4 stroke with:
maxxum pro 80lb trolling motor w/ uni. sonar
Lowrance x102c and lms-334cIgps
and some other stuff for under 19k
priced lund and was over 26k on similar boats
After i bought from Jan's service was terrible when i had an issue with my gps unit, so dont buy from jan's or make sure they dont jerk u around.
Any of those boats would work well.
the 50" livewell was something i like in my crestliner, giant casting deck and rod storage for rods up to 8'6".
but I am rather happy with my boat.

Pro,
I fished out of Mike Stinsons Tracker Targa and LOVED it.Smooth,fast
and wide enough you could take a nap in it sideways!

Scott got a tracker before he started fishing for musky, but it's been ok for that too. There's a few things he doesn't like about this older model that they have worked to improve (battery placement, rod lockers, bigger livewell's etc.) From those we have looked at, the motor that they sell with most of their packages may be on the small side. Ours is a 16 foot deep v and we take it just about everywhere except REALLY big water comfortably with 3 adults and a child. If you're looking at one of the 17's it seems to have a lot more room & the windsheild on both sides is nice. Have had good luck with both Mercury motors we've had on it too (although we did have an issue when we bought the new motor - BPS where we bought the boat had a 6 week wait for delivery/setup of new motors - we went elsewhere & setup ourselves.)

I think you'll like that boat but I would strongly encourage you to upgrade to at least the 75hp if not the 90hp. As fishingwidow mentioned, Tracker has always offered their packages underpowered to make the price look better. With that boat rated for a 135 the 90 will give you great performance.
