Been wanting to ask this for awhile and my computer has been in the shop  Who can list their strangest tweak job on a lure ot of the package? I haven't learned to do this or that to make them run different. I use them as is. Read some articles on it though. Has anyone torn one apart to change it? Let's hear your weirdest.... :D

I've destroyed more lures than I care to admit, I have a box full of parts at home to prove it. I'm very particular about how I want lures to run and will cut lips, add weight, change hook location, etc., etc. After years of destroying lures, I would tell anyone to save the ones you were about to modify for a lure swap.

I metalized(just like chrome plate)a few lures.One jake I did caught 2 pike
the first time out. That lure ended up with a leak or something so I dont
use it much now.None of my other custom chrome plated lures have caught anything.Ill keep trying them once in a while-kid

Haven't done too many weird things, mostly just standard weighting practices that make lures do one or more of the following: run deeper, suspend, walk the dog, or create more belly roll/flash. Or typical adding soft plastic tails to different jerks and cranks; quiet some rattles by glueing in place; bend or cut crankbait lips for a different action; prism tape for flash or for visual contact; tail gunner/teaser blades. Stay away from most monstrosities, and don't think I've had any real weird creations ever, like, work.

I am afraid too modify anything unless some article in musky hunter shows me specifically what to do. Screwing something up would just throw me in to a rage.
