Fishing St. Clair for the first time this weekend with my son. Most likely be casting. We will be staying north of Metro beach area. I only have Saturday and Sunday morning to fish. Anybody offer some advise to get a chapter 49 member started out on the right foot?
Greatly appreciate any help.

Don,
I am sorry I can't help, I have very little experience on St. Clair. There are quite a few guys in this club that do incredibly well out there, hopefully they can help you out. I can vouch for Don he is an ethical fisherman and great musky guy(even if he used to be a big bass guy).
Oh, he makes great lures too!

DETRIOT RIVER try Peche island area I will be there Sunday later in the afternoon jigging skies and Walleye. Don if you see this give me a call. I met you like six years ago at the Chicago Muskie show, at the first lure swap they had then. We were talking about making lures, which I see you really got into. Matter of fact I got a lure you sent me in a perch color at least five to six years ago. Give me a shout on the telly. Ill see if I can be a help to ya on fishing.

I have fished LSC once but it was about 15 years ago and I was walleye fishing with a friend and we were in middle school. I would LOVE to try St. Clair for muskies. I'll be coming from South Bend, IN so I would like to do some research ahead of time. Does anyone have a good map of the lake that could be emailed to me with some suggestions on where to start investigating. From what I remember from my one and only trip, it is a pretty big lake.
thanks.

The best way to get started is call this number.586-777-7003 Lake side Fishing shop in St. Clair Shores. They are on the corner of Jefferson and 10 mile road off of I-94 . They have all the tackle, maps and carry my lures

. I would look to the Canadian shore line for trolling near Belle river. Also there are great guides on both sides of the river. Bob Devine Charetertalk guide service out of windsor and Craig Miller of Heatwave charters out of St. Clair shores. Both are excellent captains and will put you on fish and show you how its done. I have links to both of their web sites at
http://www.fishall-lures.com Im fishing with both Bob and Craig next weekend and the following week. Be carefull entering the world of musky fishing. If you get hooked its a disease   . Good luck, Kingfisher

thanks for the response. Do you need to worry about a Canadian fishing liscence? Or is all of LSC in Michigan??

you will need a canadian license if you fish in canadian waters. Its about half and half with the best trolling spots in Canada. Kingfisher
