Does anyone here ever fish for Muskies in Southwest Michigan? I am looking to get into the sport and was just looking for a couple spots to fish. Would really appreciate it if anyone could PM me some information!

Thank you

Welome! A great way to start is to go here: http://www.michigandnr.com/FISHSTOCK/

You can manipulate this to search/get the info you need. Fish stocked in 2003 and before will be 35" or larger.

I'm sure most/all of the guys here would tell you that there are many things they would do differently when they first started out. A list of those things would probably look something like:
- should have talked to more people about the right rods, reels, line and leaders
- should have got a good net and the right release tools
- should have talked to more people before buying every lure made

If you need anything please don't hesitate to ask. There's a lot of experience on this forum and tons of great people to help you get going!

Thanks man. Very much appreciated. Does Chapter 47 cover the entire state of Michigan?

Yes pretty much, Will has been our fearless leader since the beginning. Joining the club would to your advantage as well. Nothing like viewing the catch reports of 250 thousand plus muskies eh  And it gets you access to the members only section . [smilie=brows.gif] The secret room  Several of us are lure builders as well. You need anything getting started let us know. Kingfisher
