Michigan Muskie Alliance

Hello all,
I am a trout fishing guide in Northern Michigan and am starting to get into the Muskie program. Had pretty good sucess this summer on the tahq. In one trip we landed a 36" and a few around 30" all on Suicks. I am heading up this weekend and wondering if anybody had suggestions on where to go and what to fish. When not fishing or guiding I work at Gander Mountain in T.C. They have put most Abu Garcia reels on clearance, in addition they have Shimano Calcutta's on clearance for $149.97, not a bad price. Hope the Sanford Lake tourny went well.

You're best chance at a big fish is at the mouth. Best numbers are from the Hendrie down to the falls. You really can't go wrong by fishing anywhere from the Hendrie to the mouth. There are muskies throughout the whole area. You will probably catch or see some smaller fish but there are low to mid 40 inch fish that will show themselves if conditions are right. Good luck.
