What causes fuses to blow??Noticed my bilge pump wasn`t working, plus dash switch would not even illuminate.Pulled out the 5 amp fuse, annd it was broken.Put in a new 5 amp .......snapped that one in half also.Put in another.......and it works.??????Bad fuses?Overload?Put in a 10 amp or higher???

Problem#2....radio #2 isn`t working now.All hooked up,lights up,plays a cd,no sound,no sound for radio.....

Dave, Check all bullet connectors at the radio. You probably have some corrosion at the speaker terminals. Have you added anything to that 5 amp circuit? I wouldn't add a larger fuse. Although it's one way to find a short. We call it the "smoke test". LOL The smoke test precedes the fire.

Ok , Have you taken the motor cartrage out and checked for deburis. What else is powered by that circuit? Was the pump left on for an extended period of time? Is it an automatic pump?
