Do any of the lakes have ice cover yet? Last year on Dec. 9 I spent six hours on Murray and had a fish up on the fly rod. Not so this year.

seen alot of good sized ponds totally froze over.Heard of a few guys ice fishin already on 2"of ice up around lincoln lake road area.I would think the bid lakes, mac, gun would still have open water, but I`d bet my car ride there that the ramps or bays by the ramp are iced in good with the sud zero-teens at night.???????

May be ice fishing finally before new years!!! It`s been awhile since we have been able to do that.Last few years in coldwater...new years weekend we couldn`t ice fish.

Wow, Lake Mac is ice-covered. I drove by today and the only open water was at the river inlet. I wasn't quite mentally prepared for that. I think I need a Kleenex...

Many years ago on Muskegon Lake, dad and I were sitting there as a very large man walked by about 100 feet away. His 'wake' caused us to bob up and down 3 inches or so. My eyes must have got as big as saucers. He yelled out ' How thick is the ice?" It was 3 to 4 inches there. He said it's alot more than it was yesterday.....

We left right after that. We were not going to rescue this man.
