Mona lake has a very small population remnant from 75,000 fry that were stocked many years ago 1996 I think. I live very close to it and we dont waste our time fishing it as there are much better fisheries an hour away.Mike

In probably each and every lake directly connected to the Great Lakes, there are at least some part time muskies setting up shop for a while, and probably a few even settling in for the long term. In some places there might even be a small reproducing population that could go all but unnoticed. Just like Bigfoot.
Muskies traced from Wisconsin Green Bay stocking have shown up at Michigan west side ports, and our own stocked fish from Hamlin, Macatawa, Thornapple, Ovid, et. al have wandered their way out into the big lake. Once out there, they undoubtedly pull into various ports for a spell. There certainly could be some in Mona- go ahead and give er a shot!
