yea from reading master angler readings some people were catching them on hot n tots trolling in mac too, i dont think i could ever stand trolling for them since my dads runs his charter boat out of macatawa out on lake michigan and i cant stand fishing like that.

Im from holland and all the muskies caught out of Macatawa, are almost always by accident. There are so few in that area for the size of it. Last one i heard of was caught off the pier by 2 little kids and of course kept and it wasnt even legal

o yea i know i should of specified, i was more referring to the bigger bucktails, my mepps #5 i just throw on my smallest muskie setup dont throw anything larger than an ounce bait at the most on that

interesting, i can see that.. any suggestions for a good bucktail only reel, something that could handle anything 1 ounce up? Ive looked at several, but would like something that could give me a fast retrieve double cowgirls, even some of the smaller cowgirls.

yea to be honest the corvalus looks like the corsair reeels, just a newer edition and they are mediocre. Over the years that i have had 2 of them, I never had any problems with them except my dad breaking one of them when he couldn't cast my glider and it broke my reel

yea i have a St Croix rod, that years ago before i fished muskies i used for pike and bass. I now use it for throwing smaller muskie baits up to 2 oz like my mepps #5's and smaller topwater's, suicks, and Bucktails

yea with teh TUF line i have i never get backlashes.. I can whip any lure out as hard or light as i want and never get backlashes like you can on a bass baitcaster. When i get some new stuff ill try some new line.
