Actually as the bait sits in the water the start rapidly sinking tail down. I can hear the water sloshing around when I shake them too. Clearly its's taking on water from some place despite my putting epoxy on any areas it seemed water could get in. I'm going to drill it out and fill it with Greatst...

Help with my Grannys

I've got 2 9 inch Granny's that took on water. I drilled a whole in the bellies, removed the water and epoxyed up the hole along with around the lip and by the hook hangers. One is staying dry the other is still taking on water (of course it is a custom painted one I really like). I don't see any vi...

Maybe Bryan has a good idea. Let the carp populate LSC and become a major boating hazard to the power boat knuckleheads out there. Maybe I could actually get a day's fishing in where there weren't boat generated 5 footers out there every morning after 9 am between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Wixom Lake Outing Reminder---ACE BAITS Shout Out

This is a friendly reminder that the Wixom Lake outing is now a month away (Saturday, June23rd). Below is additional information on the outing which is open to both MMA members and non-members. Come one come all. I am very happy to advise that ACE Baits USA has donated a number of very nice lures fo...

If still available I will take the Cabella's line counters. Let me know. I'll be without web access for the next few days but you can e-mail me at scarpelli@dow.com in the interim. Thanks.

Will: Am I to assume that only lakes which have been cleared by the DNR to recieve Iowa fish will get them this year if Murphy doesn't pee on our parade? Or, do you think the DNR will allow the stocking of Iowa fish into most of the lakes on the rotation?

I'm too depressed to even think about this. Sorry I can't make it Thursday I'm heading to St. Louis to see Duke's Spartans in the Frozen Four.

OK, finally someone with a point that I can agree with 100%. I suck as a musky fisherman. It's not Sanford at all. Hear that Pete and Duke and Ron, Bryan, Greg, Menz and the rest of you? We suck so sell your musky gear to Danny real cheap! Crap, I though Bomba was the only crummy musky guy that fish...

Will, I was a bit taken aback with the stat you quoted for fingerlings going into the Titt Chain. That is quite a few fish in the chain as a whole but that isn't really a fair comparison in my mind. The DNR perscription for the Titt Chain lakes are individual, not in the aggregate. It is as if they ...

That was kind of a Freaudian slip...Hamilton Reef started the chain, hence the mind fart. I hear you on the expectations part. Wish to God they had not killed the Iowa program or Sanford would, in my humble opinion, been on the right road for a recovery. Oh, well, there's always that other mud puddl...

I've been gone for a while but the point I was trying to make Will is I thought you said Hamilton was not going to get 3 straight stocking years and then go on the rotation like normal. Rather, Hamilton was supposed to get fish the first year and then go directly on the 3 year rotation. Looks like t...

Ok, I can't help but chime in that I love the fact that the Hamlin folks are trying to make up for a short '06 stocking and are hopeful for a full 12,500 for '07. First, to quote Will, making up for fish allegedly isn't a sound management idea...I disagree but who cares, right? My point, imagin how ...

Abu Garcia

Well, my long standing loyalty with Abu/Berkley is now over. Even though Ambassadors can not hold up to the riggors of musky fishing, even the Morrums, what was great is you sent them in for repair and they came back 3 days later fixed or replaced at no charge. I have been sending all of mine back, ...

I personally go with the OR-12s by Off-Shore Tackle. I especially like them rigged with the optional clip on the forward line which eliminates super line from slipping off the main connection. Mast & Ski outfits are nice for big water but not real practical for smaller in-land lakes.
