Bruce Memorial 2021

Post by Will Schultz » Sun May 16, 2021 3:08 pm

Thank you to everyone that came out to support and fish the Bruce Memorial this year. 35 anglers caught 6 muskies (5 GL strain, 1 N strain). James Heegeman and Paul Reed both caught 41" muskies (1 GL strain and 1 N strain). The tie was determined by first fish caught and James didn't waste any time catching his fish at 7:30 am. Third place was a 40.5" caught by Beau Braymer, his first muskie, while fishing with Rob Hulverson.

Your support of this event will allow MMA to donate $750 to support youth fishing and education at Wolf Lake Fish Hatchery Vistitor Center.

Finally, with the help of Matt Hughes, from Wolf Lake, he and I got PIT tags scanned on 4 of the 5 GL strain. This data collection will aid in population estimates.
Self interest is for the past, common interest is for the future.
