Ice out challenge

Post by jasonvkop »

I was just reading up on the ice out challenge on webster lake and it said that you have to be a member of muskies inc to register. If I was family member of a supporting member through MMA can i register for this?

Based on your question I see that we left out a very important part fo the membership application. "Family member" means spouse or household members (children) under 18 if you fit that description you're all set. If you don't you can still fish and make a donation for lunch but any fish you catch will not count toward the total for our team.

I am still a member of M.I. This next season I am only giving to MMA. I am not sure when my M.I. membership expires this spring. Did I understand things correctly in that I have to be an Inc. member to participate in this thing, for any fish to count???

Barbee Chain

Post by muskypro »

Will,
Last fall I fished Barbee I put my boat in at a public access, only site I could find besides the campground on the chain. Tried to launch and did major damage to my trailer, bent axle and extreme twisted frame do to washed out access. Is there another access? Is the campground the only alternative? Would love to fish this outing. Any info would be great!

Thanks,
Jay

Was it this ramp off of IN-13? This is the one you want to use.

Will,
Thats it. I backed the trailer in and it fell off into washout. Spent the next several hours with a webstrap and a tree trying to straighten out the trailer.

That's a steep ramp and you don't have to go in very far to get enough water under the boat. That's an unfortunate and expensive lesson to learn.

This is the ramp you want to use if you go into the Barbee Chain.
