picking a good GPS/Fish Locator when cost is an issue

Post by Cedersavage »

Need to get some feedback about the GPS/fishfinders for my boat. I want to upgrade but being retired funds are limited so an economical one is paramont. I have been looking at the humminbird 580 because you can by chips for it. Anyone have this unit or have another suggestion. Thanks Cedersavage (Fred Blaauw)

I tried sending you a pm but didn't work. Have you fished Cornwall Flowage lately and if so did you see any 'skis there? Was there in the fall of 2006, nadda. Uncles have a cabin on Dudd Rd south of Sturgeon Valley about 7 mi east of town.
