Need some opintions on a sonar unit!

Trying to decide between Lowrance X96 or the Eagle fishmark 320. Any ideas or experience?

I have lowrance X-71,X-97 AND THE X-96 All are nice units and work very well for us. I have the 96 on my big boat. Used with our 3500C gps I get two versions of what is going on while we are on the water. Position, depth, water temp and speed. I like the 96. Kingfisher

Well, after a two hour stop at cabelas, playing with both units and calling lowrance i figured out the difference. THE COLOR OF THE CASE!!! Well, there is one more thing. The Lowrance has a pinger feature so you can change the display to the old pinger style. Acording to lowrance, they assured me they are the exact same unit except for the previously discussed feature. Both are made from U.S components and assembled in Mexico and have the exact same power, display quality, and components. I asked why the lowrance was $30 more and the response was "the dial style dispaly option is worth that to some customers". What ever, still checking out some other options, just thought i would mention my findings.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! The name is the $30 difference, it's always been the case with the Eagle/Lowrance units. Sure they add some stupid little feature to make it sound like there's a difference but in reality it's the same unit in a different wrapper.
