Chicago Muskie Show

Post by Will Schultz »

For those of you going to the Chicago Muskie Show, Jan. 9-11 (the biggest muskie show on the planet) don't miss the lure/tackle swap on Satuday night after the show. The swap has grown every year and more than 300 anglers will be there buying, selling and trading lures. There is a food drive associated with the swap to benefit the local food pantry, you could wind some cool stuff just for bringing a few cans of food. Here's the flyer for the swap:

What to bring for the food drive?

Non-perishable food items such as: meals in a can (stew, chili, soup), tuna/canned meat, peanut butter, canned foods with pop-top lids, low sugar cereals, 100% fruit juices in single serving boxes, canned fruit packed in its own juice, and low salt canned vegetables. Please do not donate items packaged in glass or bulk quantities of rice, flour, or sugar.

I’ve heard Milwaukee is a good show but I’ve never been there.

The Minnesota show is just as big as the Chicago show, however it is 9+ hours away. I’ve been to this one and it is a big show with everything Chicago has to offer.
