Things you forgot...

Post by Will Schultz »

What are some things you forgot on an opening day or your first time out for the season? Maybe this will help some people when they head out for the first time this year. If you've never had a problem forgetting anything what's on your checklist of things to remember?

Here's one to start...
- forgot to check the fire extinguisher level and got kicked off the lake by law enforcement

Enough clothes..........went out two sundays ago and pondered.........why didn`t I bring that jacket or rainsuit???

Always better to have to many clothes than not enough.....easier to peel layers anyway.......... 8)

It wasn't me, it was my buddy but he forgot his foot control for the trolling motor. So we fished old school, not much fun on a small lake where you can't even get a drift.

One year on the opener I forgot to a.) figure 8 and b.) Not to reel the lure three inches from the rod tip. I proceeded to miss a huge fish on about the fourth cast on a prime spot... last action of the day.

An extra set of gloves if it's cold. Soaked the only pair I brought this weekend and really paid for it on a cold morning.

Boat keys are important... I've see that one played out a couple times.

Seems like a lot of people forget how to put their boat on a trailer... in less than 20 minutes.
