Casting on the detroit river

Post by hadley »

Hey everyone :) I am going to be visiting my father in Garden city a few times this spring and summer. So i will be bringing my boat with in hopes to get out on the detroit river for some muskie hunting. I have the hot spots map and have been out there a few times walleye fishing. I was wondering if any one might have any suggestions on some areas i might want to work. I know they do alot of trolling up on St.clair, but i'm not much of a troller. I get a kick out of feeling the beast railroad my bait :D

Thanks,Brad

There are miles of great water on the river. Look for good feeding shelves and current breaks. If you've got the Hot Spots map you'll have no trouble identifying these locations. Don't neglect casting the lake either, there are some great areas in the lake that put out some really big fish each year.
