Cisco Chain Experience?
Looking for any good tips, web sites // lure patterns, depths, and methods on the chain. Will be there Sept. 8 through the 14th. Mostly muskie, but I'm sure I will pick up the walleye // smallie rod a time or two. Tight lines, Adam
Cisco Chain
In the musky encounter learning curve the "CC" is "Grad School".
A month after your scheduled visit is typically when I like to get up there, (when the arrows are flyin' - archery deer opener). The more miserable the winds and weather, the better. Oh, and remember to FORGET your net and/or cradle!!
Who's going with you this Sept? I might be up there too?

I'm headed up with three other buddies and we're staying at the Aarows resort. Couple of them are gonna fish eyes while me and the other guy cover some water for the skies. "Grad School, huh." Thats not what I wanted to hear, knew it was tough though. I've heard trolling perch depth raiders bouncing off the rocks has had some success. Ever try this?
The Chain's got it all- clear water with low numbers, stained water with decent numbers; deep water, open water roamers, slop bays and shallow weed flats, wood, rocks... Great place to spend a week because there is so much water and variety. You might not be boating double figures for the week but put your time in and you will see fish.

Adam-
That lake (chain) is one of my favorite places to be, sometimes it shows you more fish than an aquarium and other times it spanks you like a little kid. The best part is that it is always a beautiful place to be no matter what, you really can't lose. Also if youre getting blanked dont be afraid to get out the map and go find Moosehead or Eel for a half a day.

If I wasn't born to fish then why am I here?
The "CC" on the "MMA"?
Do I mean the OC on the "WB"?? Hell NO! But if there ever is a series known as the "CC" I gotta be a main character!
As you may or may not know, Michigan does NOT stock the CC with muskies. I said "Grad School" for all the aforementioned reasons on this thread and then some.
WI fishing pressure as well as their guides (infamous WI catches came from TIL) And now YOU guys, who've finally smelled the coffee an are targeting the girls too. Well, Thank Goodness, because at least I suppose they're goin' back in! A lot of the incidental catches from Michigan were getting killed (because they could) and that bummed me out because its the Best of the West if you catch my drift, (ask any DNR fisheries tech in the area).
I was raised in Michigan and I've NEVER captured a St. Clair spotted fish even tho I was 30 minutes from New Baltimore. I wasn't "saavy" until I got to Illinois where puddles and people are the norms, (but so was Muskies Inc.) Today, your Chapter is so progressive and techwise, its time to join! (Congrats! Great Achievement and progress)!! Whats the scoop on this Anchor Bay Event? I'm free and interested!
